The L’Anse Township Park and Campground is located 2 miles north of downtown L’Anse at 15829 Skanee Road (Click to Open Google Maps). The park is situated on a sloping hillside which offers a beautiful view of Lake Superior and Keweenaw Bay. Historically, it is the site of the first trading post and the original townsite of L’Anse. We’re sure you’ll find the L’Anse Township Park and Campground the perfect place for family camping and recreation!

Open year-round – Enjoy Cathy’s Path and Soup’s Loop for hiking, biking, and snowshoeing. Parking is located on the Skanee Road, 2 miles north of downtown L’Anse and just 800’ past the L’Anse Township Park entrance.
With at least 3 days’ notice to the beginning of the stay, a refund will be issued.
Full refunds will be given under certain limited circumstances. Full camping refunds must be approved by the park staff.
No refunds are given for early departure based on the weather or other discomforts of nature.

The pavilion/picnic area includes electricity, picnic tables, wifi, a charcoal grill, bathrooms, playground equipment, and drinking water.
Our large pavilion is the ideal spot for casual gatherings, such as birthday or anniversary parties, reunions, company picnics, and more!
Pavilion Rental Fee: $30.00. Reservations for the large pavilion are accepted in person at the L’Anse Township Park or by phone at (906) 524-6985.
